Entry #5: Who's To Blame.
So, today I watch a little clip from the movie called Wall-E and lately the topic of technology has been a hot subjet in my English 101 class. The adorable movie was about a little waste cleanup robot who falls in love with another robot name Eve. Wall-E tries to do everything in his power to get her attention and accomplished it. Another thing that is shown in the movie was how a lot of human beings had to take refuge in a giant hotel/shopping center like spaceship because earth wasn't fit to live on due to a natural disaster. Now, the humans that lived on this spaceship slowly but surly began to completely relaid on technology for their every daily activity. The humans gained a tremendous amount of weight due to lack of physical exercise. On that spaceship there was no such thing as walking, they had little mobile chair to drive around in and robots as their slave, who brought them their food and drinks while their eyes were glued to the computer screen. Honestly this clip got me thinking, can this move actually be a little replica of todays society?
Would this be us in 10 years if we don't for once put down our device and admire the beauty this earth has to offer or form these little anxiety moods from being apart form our phones for to long. Who's to blame? I say we should blame our self for allowing our technology to take over our mind. Now and days we depend on our technology to do everything for us, we tend to become "lazy" with out knowing it. For instance, I had to read two articles about technology and instead of reading it Apple computers has a program where you click the article and it reads it for you! I know, I am a shame and shock at the same time. So lets put down and our electronics a lot more and admire the world and what it has to offer. Our life is more than a 5 by 5 screen.
